The International Gravity Sports Association (IGSA) is very pleased to announce the European leg of the 2006 IGSA World Cup Series. July will be a dream month for those who have ever fantasized about touring and racing in Europe. Competitors will now have the opportunity to travel to Europe and earn points in three World Cup events over a 21 day period. We are offering 15 full days of practice and racing during that 21 day period. We are working on low cost flights to Europe and low cost ground transportation, lodging and camping.

In 2006 the IGSA will be sanctioning three big World Cup events over three consecutive weeks. The IGSA World Cup Series will be returning to +are, Sweden July 3-7 for the FIVE day, newly renamed +are Mountain Games. Last year, +are was one of the most fun events in memory and this year promises to be even better. The +are Mountain Games plan to place more focus on the competition aspect of the festival according to event organizer Petter +vsterling. The beautiful mountain resort town of +are rolls out the red carpet for the IGSA competitors. Lodging is cheap and plentiful, the restaurants are excellent, shopping is great, the bars are wild, and the locals are really friendly! Best of all, the sun NEVER goes down!!!

July 12-15 we will once again travel to Jungholz, Austria for the Almabtrieb IGSA World Championships. Last years event was a big hit despite it being a last minute replacement for Hot Heels. This time around organizers Stephan Risch and Yorck Dertinger have a full year to prepare and we are anticipating big things. For starters, the event is being expanded to FOUR days. The hill in Jungholz is definitely world class and is the perfect balance of high speed straightaways and technical hairpins. The class winners of this event will receive the title of 2006 IGSA World Champion. If you can only attend one event in 2006, you donGª+t want to miss this one.

Finally on July 17-22 we will be featuring a brand new event that will be known as Gª·COASHGª- which is short for Gª·Chill On A Swiss Hill.Gª- This SIX day event will be located near Scheid, Switzerland in the picturesque Graub++nden region of the Alps. The event is being organized by experienced event promoter Clemens Bartlome and long time competitor Samy Cantieni. The exact location is top secret to discourage people from riding the hill in advance. It is an incredible hill that will challenge the technical abilities of any rider. The promoters say they plan to make this event the one that all other events will be compared to in the future.

Start saving your money and finding your sponsors now. This is going to be the most incredible three weeks in the history of gravity sports. All IGSA classes will be offered at each event including MenGª+s and WomenGª+s Downhill Skateboarding, Street Luge, Classic Luge, Gravity Bike, Inline Downhill and Dirtsurfer. As more information becomes available and the individual event websites come online, it will be posted at gravity-sports.com, the official website of the IGSA.
