As they say in Cowtown - YEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWW!
AUGUST 11 and 12 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
Back for 2007, The Paskapoo Downhill Rodeo is set to dominate the gravity sports circuit this year! With an amazing course offering 6 tight corners and steep straightaways over a 2km stretch of beautiful pavement, this race is both fast and challenging. The racecourse is located at Canada Olympic Park and throughout the rest of the year is just the access road alongside the luge track. Low traffic means this road is super smooth! This year Paskapoo has increased its schedule to include 2 full days of competition and added streetluge, slide and slalom comps to its already successful line-up of speedboard and inline board (Dirtsurfer).
Sanctioned by the Northern Underground Adrenaline Circuit, the Paskapoo Downhill Rodeo took place at C.O.P., a venue made legendary in our communities by early gravity sport athletes Jarret (Dr. GoFast÷ Ewanik and Darren Pineau. The 2006 rider attendance, combined with over 4000 spectators, allowed SLAC¦s event to be selected as the location for the 2007 Canadian Nationals Slalom Skateboarding Competition. Calgary has not received this honour since 1984, so SLAC is very excited!
SLAC is focused on making this year¦s event the best, and largest, of its kind in the world. The Paskapoo Downhill Rodeo is considered a world championship event by the gravity sports community and industry.
