With the top three finishers of Paskapoo 2006 back this year and the presence of riders from Quebec and Ontario, you knew this was going to be a competitive one! Steven Carter was the guy to beat all day showing tremendous skill as he seemed to find the right line at every corner and fight his way through the pack to finish 1st twice and 2nd once in his qualifying heats. JM Sicotte, in his first appearance at Paskapoo, put up strong numbers in qualifying as did Aaron "Anger" Enevoldsen. Chris Middleton proved his skills weren't all left in the US dirt, and should be someone to watch for in the near future. Heidi Hagemeister, our only female competitor this year, proved she belongs in heats alongside the men, finishing ahead of Jeremy Bresciani, Chris Middleton and Aaron Enevoldsen in consecutive heats.

The final featured Steven Carter, JM Sicotte, Aaron Enevoldsen and Jeremy Bresciani and had a storyline of its own based on heats in which these riders had faced each other earlier in the day. JM and Aaron had consistantly outskated the rest of the riders in every heat and it was almost a given they would do so again. These two had also raced tight against each other earlier with Aaron failing to solve JM in the corners and make a pass. It was mandatory for Jeremy and Steven to stay close to the others on the skate and search for a passing opportunity in the corners. Jeremy and Steven had met a couple times in turn one and although Jeremy had generally been ahead in the skate, Steven's line baffled him as well. All was set for a heated battle, but on the starter's call, chaos ensued! Aaron, generally a graceful and smooth skater, somehow managed to hit his brake with his knee on the backstroke causing him to swerve slightly. Jeremy compensated, but also lost temporary control. Steven, caught in the midst of the chaos bumped Jeremy's rear tire and hit the ditch with Jeremy following after. Unfortunately Steven's brake locked up in the carnage and he was forced to leave the course. Jeremy managed to get back on course and complete the race, but Aaron and JM had it sewn up with JM once again holding his line strong and taking 1st.

Top 4 Results were:

1st: JM Sicotte
2nd: Aaron "Anger" Enevoldsen
3rd: Jeremy Bresciani
4th: Steven Carter
